Here is the standby vessel, or as the owners prefer to call it, the ERRV, VOS Fairness offshore UK. The ship was purpose built for the task in 2014 in China and is considered capable of rescuing 300 people from the sea. It has two daughter craft, capable of operating independently from the mother ship for some hours and one standard FRC (Fast Rescue Craft). The photo was contributed by Scott Vardy and I have included it today because as I write he is number 13 in the OilPro photo competition, so well done Scott. I have achieved the more lowly position of 45 (as of today). Also in the leader board is David Styles who has contribute photos to my sites in the past.

Photograph taken in July 2016 and posted here on 1st December 2016.
